Fire Service Training Programs

The Energy Security Agency offers training programs for fire service professionals that interact with high voltage battery systems. Our trainings are always up-to-date and industry relevant thanks to our close relationships with vehicle manufacturers. We offer multiple levels of Awareness and Operations level safety training through online, direct deliver, or at our ESA training facility. Students will receive highly interactive instructional periods to safely identify and engage with ESS’s and HEV’s in all potential hazard conditions. Extended Interaction period with Instructional team including scenario-based assessments. This course is taught in conjunction with ESRG.

HEV Operational Response

This course is designed to provide students with a complete understanding of HEV Vehicle Response and Hazard Management. Students will receive highly interactive instructional periods to safely identify and engage with HEV’s in all potential hazard conditions. Practical Exercises allow students to perform shutdown procedures, HEV system orientation and HEV extrication techniques.

ESS/HEV Technical responder

IN-PERSON TRAINING or ESA TRAINING FACILITY

This intense three-day course is designed to provide students with a complete understanding of Fixed Energy Storage Systems and HEV Vehicles and Technician Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required to safely and effectively manage emergency events. Students will receive highly interactive instructional periods to safely identify and engage with ESS’s and HEV’s in all potential hazard conditions. Extended Interaction period with Instructional team including scenario-based assessments. Students will be given the unique opportunity to conduct firefighting and extrication operations with Li Ion Batteries and HEV’s.
