Recycling Industry Battery Safe Interaction and Dismantling

In this course the recycling specialist will learn everything he needs to know about handling Lithium Ion Batteries after they are removed from the vehicle. The Student will learn how to safely interact with the battery and what PPE is needed. The course is designed to be highly practical and the participant will actively learn how to open a battery, perform measurements to determine State of Charge, health and Stability of the Battery. The Instructor will train students how to remove as safe as possible the total voltage from the Battery to get it under the 50V High Voltage threshold (debussing strategy). Students will learn how to handle Battery modules and additional testing procedures will be shown.
